About me

Hello! I am Mohit Snehal.

I am currently building and scaling a neobank from scratch as a Software Engineer @PayU India as part of their neobanking team.
I am a Backend Engineer with over 4 years of experience in building and end-to-end ownership of backend microservices at some of the most prominent e-commerce giants and fintech firms of India.
Prior to PayU, I have worked as a Software Engineer-2, @Bigbasket & Associate Software Engineer, @Quikr.
My experience includes, and is not limited to, demonstrated proficiency in designing and developing high throughput fault tolerant microservices from ground up and maintaining them.. In short, I love solving complex product problems with efficient technical solutions.
When I am not working, I like to indulge in playing ukelele, writing hindi and urdu short poems, amateur photography, and playing PC Games.
I also like to collect latest and retro gadgets.

Currently working as a Backend Engineer for the neobanking team where we are building a neobank from scratch.

May 2020 - April 2021

Currently working as a Backend Engineer for the team which handles Cart, Order and Payments.

Working on several microservices developed on following languages: Python and Java.
Developed from scratch and Person Of Contact for Accounts Microservice.
Performance Metrics of Accounts service: Max. throughput: 1800 Requests Per Second, Avg Response time(Worst performing API): 225 ms

Worked as a Backend Engineer for the Cars & Bikes Vertical:

Worked on 3 micro-services and all of them were based on Spring Framework with Hibernate.
Made major optimisations in Dealer Management Service's crucial APIs.

Software Engineer Intern(Backend)

October 2018 - May 2019

PUDO (Pick-Up Drop-Off Service)

Worked as the sole backend developer for Quikr’s project PUDO(Pick up and drop off) under Quikr Easy vertical.
Single handedly developed, maintained and optimised backend for PUDO which includes end user APIs as well as APIs for operations console.
Developed the B2B extension of PUDO services which included designing development of several APIs and optimisation of some very crucial APIs where optimisation was done majorly by SQL query optimisation.
